Jessica and James – Spokane Wedding Photography – Liberty Lake engagement session

We’ve been absent for awhile on the blog, as I had been pregnant, and now have a two month old baby girl, along with our 5 year old daughter! Things have been crazy, but we have started to settle back into a routine. Engagement sessions are in full swing, and I hope you will enjoy these images from my afternoon with Jessica and James! Luckily, the weather cooperated as they had traveled from Kirkland for our session (and to work on their wedding plans.) I had a wonderful time getting to know them, and can’t wait to capture their rehearsal dinner and their wedding in July!

Jenny and Donovan – Spokane Wedding Photography at StoneRidge Golf

With friends and family who had traveled near and far, Jenny and Donovan were married at StoneRidge Golf in Idaho. It was in intimate wedding not only because of the size, but because of the details the bride and groom shared with guests. On each table were photos the couple had taken on all of their travels together, as well as poems Donovan had written for Jenny over the course of their relationship (and guests were encouraged to pass the poems around.) Another very special detail was Donovan’s wedding band…his father made it for him. As a photographer, I enjoyed capturing these elements that made the day very special. But as a witness to the day, I felt very special to be included in the beginning of Jenny and Donovan’s new path as a family. Congrats!

Sneak Peek – Jodi and Pete!

Jodi and Pete were married yesterday at her parents’ home in Spokane. Immediately following the ceremony, we went to the top of the hill above her family home to capture some beautiful images, as well as to give the couple a moment to relax and soak it all in that they JUST got married! These two were absolutely stunning….I couldn’t wait to get a preview up on the blog…enjoy!

Tiffany and Nick – Camden Ranch Wedding

Introducing….Mr. and Mrs. Oakley! Tiffany and Nick really have touched my heart over the short time I have gotten to know them. Nick, for his strength and support for Tiffany…as well as his attention to detail (unlike many grooms, Nick was “hands on” with the wedding planning). And Tiffany, for her vulnerability, and the way she so gracefully lets go of the little stuff and seems genuinely happy to let Nick make decisions, when needed. All of us could learn a thing or two about relationships the way these two so wonderfully balance each other.

Shannon and Zach – winners of our Free Engagement Session!

Shannon and Zach won our hearts with their story of how they became engaged (and, Shannon wrote it in the third person):

”On March 6th, Zachary picked Shannon up after work and headed over to Legends like they had previously decided upon. However, on the walk over to Legends, Zach suggested they go take a row of pictures in the photo booth to commemorate his last month in town. Although Shannon put up a fight, she eventually gave in after a few “pretty please’s” from Zach… Shannon started taking off her glasses but Zach stopped her and insisted she needed to wear them for the pictures, so she left them on and they both took a seat next to each other in the photo booth bench. The screen counted down 3… 2… and then all of a sudden Zach was down on his knee, holding out a beautiful ring, saying “Shannon…” and that’s where Shannon “blacked out” and started crying and nodding your head. Neither of them can remember exactly what was said, but are pretty sure there was something about how much Zach loved her and wanted to spend the rest of their days together.”

Shannon and Zach were married before we could schedule their session, so we incorporated their wedding attire into our shoot(I wanted to use the photobooth shots…but they couldn’t find them.)

Tiffany and Nick – Spokane Engagement Session at 231 North Event Center

I hope you will enjoy some of my favorite images we captured shooting Tiffany and Nick’s engagement session. Thanks to the happy couple who not only were open to suggestions but came with their own props, it was a pretty easy shoot. We all agreed we had a beautiful location to capture these images. Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Tiffany and Nick’s engagement session. We had a bit of difficulty deciding where to shoot, so I contacted Melissa at Apple Brides, who referred me to 231 North Event Center in Reardan. I’m so glad she did! Husband and wife team Anthony and Tessa Wicks immediately invited us to their beautiful wedding venue. They couldn’t have been nicer…I can only imagine how great it must be to have a wedding there! Spokane Baby Session – Sweet Baby “D”

I had the pleasure of photographing sweet baby “D” right before he turned four months old. His mom had been a guest at one of the weddings I photographed prior to moving to Washington State, and when she contacted me on Facebook to inquire about a baby session, I was thrilled that she wanted me to photograph her son…but sad that I would have to explain to her my recent move from Tennessee to Washington and that I wouldn’t be able to do the session (or 5 other babies by former brides!) To my surprise, she too, was now living in Washington! Okay, so “It’s a small world, after all.” So nice to meet your sweet family, and love that both of our kids are Nashville babies!
